She jumped off of the sofa and walked over to the kitchen, filling a ice pack up with ice as she walked back over to him and put the pack on his head. “Does that feel better? I guess I could have thought that through huh?” She laughed nervously and held the pack there.
He grimaced but accepted the cold first aide. He put his hand on the ice pack allowing her to remove her own. These wild mood swings kept catching him off guard. “Thanks I guess.”
-
She leaned over and rubbed the top his head and laughed nervously. “Sorry but you did have it coming don’t you know that? Are you ok? Want me to get an ice pack?” Looking down at him with worried eyes.
“Ehh.” He shrugged. There was that impulse thing of hers again. With her feelings on her sleeve she seemed to flip from one side of the spectrum to the other. Angry then apologetic, serious then silly. The bump wasn’t the only thing making his head spin.
-
She glared at him, snapping her fingers, the curtain falling and landing on his head. “I know you too well. I’m not taking the chance with you.”
Along with the curtain the rod fell with it. The thing clanged on his skull, leaving him with the startings of a headache and a big welt. “Jeeze why did you do that?” He rubbed his wound. Well that killed the moment.
-
Jinx puffed out her cheeks and stuck out her tongue. “I couldn’t act like this around any of the team or else they’d react just like you. Hence why I was so strict and stuff. Stop or else I’ll punch you again.”
“I dare you.” He grinned, ready to make a portal on his shoulder. She’d get a surprise when she ended up punching herself.
-
“You’re such a jerk Kyd.” She turned over and softly punched his arm, cheeks still a bright pink color and a small smile on her lips. “You like watching me do this don’t you?”
“It’s like watching a dog on his hind legs, I didn’t know you had this side to you.” An actual audible laugh erupted from him. His brain didn’t seem to want to work correctly.
-
“N-No way! I’ve a-already said t-too much!” She looked away and tugged at her pink locks. Her whole face was a bright pink as a small smile now graced her lips. He was enjoying this way too much.
He chuckled a bit then picked at his lip between his thumb and forefinger. He rested his head on the back of the couch, just looking at her. Watching her move. She was unused to this feeling what ever it was.
-
“Well.. I’ve always had.. A small crush on you..” She laughed nervously and rubbed the back of her head. This was so weird telling him all this but she’d already said it once so might as well say it again.
“Go on….” What was this, a smile? Not possible. Noooo. However much he didn’t believe, his lips curled upward and revealed a sliver of teeth. Her laugh was infectious, he found himself a bit too giddy for his own liking.
-
Did she really just say that. Dammit what was she supposed to do now? He’d found out about her small crush on him and she couldn’t do anything to just move on from what she said. “W-Well.. U-Uhm..”
His head rotated toward her inch by inch. Taking in the sight as if it were the first time. “Well?” Inciting her to say more. He needed to know. This was important. Was there actually something in that kiss?
-
“Don’t say that about yourself! I remembered you.. Even if it didn’t look like it.. I always remembered you Kyd! Why wouldn’t I remember you? I always had a small crush on you!” Her eyes widened as she soon realized what she said, cheeks turning even brighter as she covered her mouth and looked down at the floor.
Every single thing in the universe came to a halt. Well, Kyd thought it did. He arched a brow and stared at her from the corner of his eye. “What was that? ” He dared not move. He might fall off the earth.
-
“Kyd.. You’re very special to me..” She looked down at the floor and was blushing a bright pink color. “I’m glad I was a villain because then I met you.. I got to meet you.. You were the only reason why I kept coming up with plans.. I tried my best because I didn’t want to let you down.” All these words came out from her mouth without her even realizing it.
”That isn’t true.” He shook his head. “There were times that we did it for fun, for the need of money, for that amulet that one time. Don’t try to say it was me. I’m barely a shadow in the team, no one notices anything I do. People only remember I exist when then see me.”
